Also due out between now and 2009

Diary of the Dead 2

Begins where the first film ends, where the remaining characters have fought their way through a mansion filled with zombies and have escaped to a remote island, and once again find themselves in yet another battle with the walking dead.

George Romero is done with the first draft of the script and is in the process of fine-tuning it. Once that's done, he simply has to wait for the go-ahead from the studio to beging filming.

Final Destination 4

The film follows a group of young people, who are once again stalked by death, after one of them receives a premonition that ends up saving their lives during a deadly racecar crash that kills the drivers and many onlookers in the stands.

Filming begins sometime in February '09 in New Orleans.

Jeepers Creepers 3: The Creeper Walks Among Us.

Set 23 years after the previous film, we follow Trish Jenner (Gina Phillips), who is now a mother. Realizing that the return of the Creeper is just around the corner, she begins to have terrible recurring nightmares of her own teenage son confronting the creature and suffering the same fate as her deceased brother. Now a rich and powerful woman, she's determined to finally put an end to the Creeper once and for all.

REC 2

This project is currently "in talks" and nothing has been confirmed. The original production company Filmax has shown interest and the likelihood of a sequel actually happening seems high. It's said that this sequel will have the same handheld look and "claustrophobic concept" as the first.

Wrong Turn 3

Not much is known about the project other than it is in the early stages of development.

Viewers may or may not remember director Declan O'Brien's work on various Sci-Fi movie originals.

Wrong Turn 2 director Joe Lynch will apparently not be involved.

The Toolbox Murders 2

FX artist Dean Jones' directorial debut.

Expect more deaths and background info on the killer this time.

No word yet on what kind of involvement remake director Tobe Hooper will have on the film.

Original remake writers Adam Gierasch and Jace Anderson were going to return at one point, but were eventually replaced by Jeffrey Reddick.

Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever
