I've just had to get an extra ticket for Saturday and the nearest single I can get to my seat in Block 5 is Block 8! This is for Gillingham, I thought I would be able to pick and choose for that one.

No-one could answer when I asked after the sales for this game so far but unless the Ticket Office have been told to sell the expensive seats first it looks like being a decent gate. Predictions for the gate?

I reckon with a big following from the Gills 23,247 (as long as we win tonight that is).

I think this is because a lot of adult and child for £10 vouchers were given out at the open training session the other week.

I was hoping to book about 4 in the Northern End, is the unlikely now.

Also I assume there is no animosity from us towards the Gills, one of my best mates is coming down for it and he's a Gills fan so will be in Gills colours.

We plan to go boozing (me in Saints shirt him in Gills) round town before hand - he expects banter but I assume that will be it (considering the threads regarding the yoof recently)

Well, I am taking my Gills supporting Grandson, it's his birthday in a few days and he so desperately wanted to go and wear his Gills shirt.

I decided to play it safe and I have bought tickets for us to sit in with The Gills fans. I will be wearing a fawn pullover, cuordroy pants and brown shoes.

Re animosity between the two sets of fans, I am not aware of any history, but Saints do sadly have a little bit of a reputation nowadays, plus the Gills lot do not take kindly to being challenged nor will they be happy when we stuff them 4-0 with a Ricky Lambert hat-trick. Personally I would not recommend away fans demonstrating their loyalties in any home section, and vice-versa.

I agree - I wouldn't bring your best mate into home seats, it's asking for trouble. With the vast majority it would just be banter, but it only takes one tw-A-t. And if the Gills go 2-1 up in the 95th minute he won't be popular with far more than one tw-A-t!

ozzmeister,
Gillls ticket office will still sell you tickets in their section, but will not post them out. They will send them down with the travel club coaches and you can collest them from the ticket office kiosk number 1. I got an adult and child deal for £22.
Their number is 01634 300000, select option 3.

btw, they haven't sold the initial 1200 allocation yet, so boo to the Gills 30 odd thousand so called fans that went to Wembley a couple of months ago? Plastic Pikeys!

I know, it is a bloody cheek, the list of pick-up points amazes me, Sandwich, Deal, Broadstairs, even that ****hole Margate, they don't care who they are, Charlton wll poach them. I've heard those on the Margate coach only go cos the driver puts the heater on for them, gotta be better than a cold pavement I spose.

They even nicked The Gills shirt sponosr KRBS, the K standing for KENT the cheeky ****ney chappies..

The reason for this is that as from saturday the Itchen North is being made season ticket holders only.
This is no bull****, we who sit in this area have been continually done over by the club over the last few seasons and i have had enough of it.
Yes i have a season ticket so it doesnt affect me apart from ruining my match day experience as the atmosphere will be completely dead.
The reason they are doing it is just a continuation of closing the corner to then the back four rows and now no match ticket purchases so that it turns into another happy clappy area.

I can confirm this as I tried to get a ticket over there to sit with my mate who is a ST holder and he told me it was now ST holders only.

Don't really understand the logic in this.

What? Where did you hear that from?

If it's true I'm tempted to move as we've got season tickets but are often after extra tickets for 'occasionals'. It's fine sitting a couple of rows away.....but ending up in different blocks is a joke if you can see there are spare seats going.

This, if true, is ****in outrageous. I've got a season ticket in the Itchen North and from time to time want to buy extra tickets for mates.
More attempts by Luker to take every opportunity to kill atmosphere.

I don't think it's going to make a difference to the atmosphere. They kill it when closing the Itchen north.

This is definately true. The stewards were telling us on tuesday as apparrently they were told to try and implement it then but it was too late as obviously loads of tickets had already been sold.
What i want to know is why do they keep picking on that part of the ground it is becoming almost like constant harrassment.
Yes the stewards have to tell people to sit down but in general that is all fairly good natured ( odd instance apart ) The atmosphere from there has already been ruined by first the corner closure then the closing of the back four rows and now season ticket holders only. If this club wants four stands like the chapel then it is going the right way about it. They constantly go on about getting behind the team yet seem too do all they can to stop it.

Perhaps they are prepping the area for moving visiting supporters there?
