Aye....80x80 pixels is a tad stingy.....the smallest I can get mine is Google Picassa thumbnail size which is 144 pixels. These aren't huge and are under the 19.5k size limit so not sure why such a low pixel restriction? 144 should be fine.

The problem with uploading your own avatar is that the default maximum size is 80*80 and you cannot change it yourself. However it can be done via the admin panel. So for those of you with ones that are too large, ask an admin nicely if he'll do it for you.

Just in case anyone's lost their avatar from the old forum, you should be able to do a Google Image seach of "<username> avatar" and it should find it :)

however, i can see the image perfectly fine, as can Ponty (i asked him to check it)
if he manages to switch my avatar over ok, then you will see the true image, and in awe you will be : )

(mind you there's no gratuitous sex, so maybe you won't)
having said that, you may be able to spot a camel toe in the image ;)

Thanks for changing it (whoever it was) but it appears to be static, rather than the .gif? I know it is slightly larger (and only slightly) however I fear resizing it has caused the gif to no longer work? I note there are other avatars on the forum which are a hell of a lot bigger, so would it please be possible to have the moving gif as my avatar.

If I knew how to resize I would. Would make it a hell of a lot easier. But the only way I know how to resize things is on paint and that only works for still pictures and also compromises the picture :(

I have spent about 15 minutes looking through them now and the ones which I find either resize it and it then becomes a still, or, wont resize it. I dont want to keep downloading new software to this laptop, as it is a work one. I have found on-line ones, which have successfully re-sized it, but when I try to apply it to my avatar, it says file is too large?!

Do you have special admin powers which can over ride this? As i fail to see how this file can be larger than my other avatars?

Mods please can you do it? Its not as if I have not tried and I am being lazy, I have spent about 20 minutes on this now and still cant seem to find a way which it resizes, as a working gif!?
