Trying to point MS Access 2000 at a server to view a database, have added the Oracle for Windows ODBC driver and installed an Oracle client but when i run the query i get "ODBC--Call Failed"
Any ideas?

Server OS?
Database software (Im assuming Oracle) and version
Driver version?

Xp sp2
Server 2k3
Server using Oracle 9i
ODBC driver version 2.575.1117.00

Thats the MS for Oracle driver yeah? have you tried the version from Oracle themselves?

What else are you getting in return after "Call Failed"?

Try the Oracle Instant Client rather than the full client

Bit small (even when I click on it), but does it say cant resolve service name?

ahhhh good fun, it seems i was given a horribly outdated TNS Names file!
Now all working
