I find any threads about the clubs finances really annoying. Maybe not the initial subject matter so much, but the way some going into far too much detail about in's and out's at the club. I undersootd this a little when we went into admin but there were threads like this way before then. Your average fan just doesnt care, and shouldnt IMO.

Anyone who gets completely wound up about anyone discussing anything they disagree should be talked about, or can't get their head around. And then invades the thread to tell all and sundry what a complete atrocity it is to talk about it.

For instance, speculation about what our new signings will be like, how a new manager will fare etc, where so many people come out with the line "Why don't you just wait and find out rather than speculate?".

It's an internet chat forum; speculation and idle gossip is what it was invented for. And if you don't want to get involved with the discussion, no-one is forcing you!

I find everything annoying, but that one is quite high on my list of things I cannot begin to understand. It's on the big screen at the ground, it's in the programme, it's on the telly, on the back of the players' shirts, it's usually already correctly spelt in the same thread, and you're actually on a computer which gives you access to an enormous database of information which will allow you to check if you're not sure. How, in those circumstances, are you not able to spell the player's name right ?

For the record, we don't have a Davies in goal, or a Llanna in midfield, or a Hoofelt at the back (or a Seabourne for that matter) or a Connelly up front. Historically, I can't ever remember how to spell Egil's surname, or that of the bloke called Andreas who played at the back in our Prem relegation season, SO I LOOK THEM UP BEFORE POSTING.

Is it too much to ask ? Ignore that, when people can't even spell "to" correctly it obviously is.

Apart from that, all song threads, the polarising of others' opinions by people who don't bother to debate the nuances of any argument, knee-jerkism, anyone at all talking about fashionable clothing of any kind at football as by definition it doesn't exist, and all WUMs and trolls.

People constantly judging teams, managers, players on single games, writing off the season 500 times not realising it's possible to lose to teams that aren't as good.

Also, ridiculously over the top rumours followed by 'he's not good enough for us'.

And the lack of humour in recent years. I fear success brings serious attitudes. The British have far better humour in hard times. I particularly enjoyed Mark Wotte based humour or George Burley sleeping in his car.

Nothing really, its an Internet Forum, everybody is entitled to their opinion (providing they have the evidence to support it)

Why does one need tangible evidence to support an opinion? What if an opinion is based on a hunch, instinct or a gut feel. Do those opinions not count?

People who don't think Dodd and Benali are legends.........:shakey:

Actually, who holds the record for least posts per day on here?

I must be in the running.

Me too! Never had much to say on Saintsforever or Saintslist either (which was before the internet for the under 16's out there)... is Saintslist even still going?? I remember drunken posts from the legendary Jon Stallard being great value... happy, simple days.

A quick look at the stats suggest that I am almost half as active as you Jasonb. You must try harder... or stop trying as hard.

Un considered replys to posts.
Posters playing the man and not the post.
Posters not having the humility to admit they could be wrong.
Etc Etc Etc.....

DellDays. Because he is clearly massively stupid, yet tries to appear clever. Because he is ill-informed, yet tries to appear knowledgable. Because he thinks he's a WUM but is actually just pig-sh*t thick and childlike. But mainly because he's just thoroughly boring.

I have no idea what HTH means, but bridge too far uses it, so it must be something smug and know it all.

Also birds who have signs in their cars back window saying "daddys little princess" or summat - overtake and you'll find not a princess, but a fat and spotty toad.

On my list of computer abbreviations (sad I know!) it is written as ' HOPE THIS HELPS' which could be construed as being a bit more sarcastic than yours !

Saintsforever was decent. I enjoyed it for Keith's match reports - a true fans perspective. Saintslist is still going and is generally a good read - a hardcore of fans that attend the game and write up match reports which is great for us overseas fans. And of course a few quality Stallard-isms.

The fact that no-one has a copy of the e-mails Keith sent to Amy on Saints Forever - or if they do, not releasing them to the general public.

I think Pilsmer's 47 posts in not much less than 5 years takes some beating. That's equivalent to approximately 3 days of Dune's input!

I hate all these team selection diagrams with lots of '------' to make it look like a real layout.

Can't people just list the players with the position next to it like:
