PS2 - Disc Read error

We get this no matter which game disc is inserted. I have used a lens clean disc, the audio type one, it plays and I can skip to the required tracks as I follow the instructions. Still no play on the games though.

Is the machine knackered or would any kind soul have any ideas?

At less than £95 a new console isn't out of the question.

Ask young Barrington O'Jarman. He fixes PS2s (at least I think he said fixes, it began with f anyway).

had the same issue with my youngest son's PS2 a few years back and after talking to their help line re the cost of repair we just bought another one

I see two options here

Either buy them and cobble together a working one with mine or sell mine.

I took my nippers apart and cleand then lens with a vodka (does wonders) and a cotten bud because a cd disk cleaner didnt work. Sorted :-)

There are plenty of instructions on youtube on how to do it.
