Novel idea by supermarkets to save themselves some cash on employing mongers to do it. However, that means you get civvie mongers fumbling around with their food, trying to find the barcode, taking twice as long as a normal queue.

Regardless, I bought some new breakfast cereal t'other day. Was lovely :)

They never seem to scan properly though, and no im not a mongtard, the machines (some fo them) seem to always incur errors. And my card always ends up having to be swiped as my chip is very temperemental so I end up just going to a hooman bean anyways.

what I dont get about hawkins...is why does he have to have that robotic voice...surely he could get a normal voice to do his "talking"

If I was, errr, Hawkinged, I'd definitely download myself some new voices. Sven, Robocop, Joe Pasquale etc. I'm sure it'd amuse everyone in the circles I move in.

When I use them some items have a habit of missing the scanner and going straight into the bag...

This is of course not possible as it's all done on weight.

But onions are much cheaper than broccoli by weight...

"Unexpected item on the belt" How is this possible? Surely the item I've just scanned is exactly what the belt should be expecting.

Not if you're smart enough to scan one item but simultaneously deposit more than one item in the bag.

I don't use them on principle. It's an excuse to lay off staff and use something cheaper long term. I would rather see people in employment.

That is very simple, but very clever.
