Danny Seaborne in Hospital - Updated
The players, employees and fans of Southampton Football Club where horrified by the news that defender Danny Seaborne was hospitalised after being the victim of an apparent assault on the morning of the 2nd September.
Danny Seaborne, who joined us from Exeter City just over a year and a half ago and has worked his way into our first team in this time was out last night at the 'Junk' nightclub in town. He was found outside with severe head injuries at 3am in the morning.
It is believed that he was assaulted and it has been stated in local media outlets that two men have been arrested in connection with the attack.
His state was initially described as life-threatening but thankfully he is now said to be in a stable condition at Southampton General Hospital. It is not known currently if there will be any lasting effects due to the head injuries he has sustained.
I am certain that I speak for everyone associated with SaintsWeb when I wish Danny a swift and total recovery.
The official club website has confirmed that, thankfully, Danny Seaborne will be leaving hospital in the next few days and is no longer in intensive care. No timescales have been set for a return to training but the speed of his recovery so far is nonetheless extremely heartening. Get well soon Danny.
Nigel Adkins revealed in interviews after the match against Nottingham Forest that Danny Seaborne has now been released from hospital.
