Adam Lallana receives England call
After swathes of injuries and withdrawls to his initial squad, Roy Hodgson has called on Adam Lallana to join the England National team ahead of our World Cup qualifier against Ukraine tomorrow night.
Adam playing his part to secure our place in the top flight v Coventry last year.
After only three games in the top flight Adam Lallana, along with Liverpool's Raheem Stirling and Tottenham's Jake Livermore have been called up to add depth to the England national team just 24 hours before a crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier. Roy Hodgson was present at our last home game v Manchester United and evidentally liked what he saw in our young captain.
Southampton's first domestic call up since Peter Crouch back in 2005, it is unknown what part Adam will play but this is a magnificent achievement and honour for a man who is Southampton through-and-through and bred. From our academy, to first team, to captain and now on the horizon of our national team; Hopefully he will be given the chance to shine for another eleven in red and white.
Good luck Adam and congratulations.
