Everton
Everton have started this season in fine form considering the slow start they usually have to a new campaign. With 10 points on the board the toffees currently sit in third place although having some tough fixtures so far. They convincingly won away at the Liberty Stadium last weekend against a Swansea team also playing well and David Moyes will be hoping to extend to their points tally against now improving Southampton.

David Moyes will make some changes from the side that lost to Leeds United in the Capital One cup this week. Nikica Jelavic made his return at Elland Road during the week and will be pushing for a return to the side to face Saints this weekend.
Southampton
With Southampton putting their first points on the board in a credible victory last weekend at home to Aston Villa, manager Nigel Adkins will be hoping his players can carry momentum into the difficult trip to third placed Everton. Saints completed a second half come back last Saturday against Aston Villa coming out 4-1 victors in the end. Nathaniel Clyne (pictured below) scored his first goal in a Saints shirt whilst Rickie Lambert continued his fine debut season in the top flight with a brace.

Southampton could give a debut to new signing Artur Boruc at Goodison Park this weekend having signed the experienced shot stopper on a free transfer this week, after being released from Italian side Fiorentina during the summer transfer window. Saints have no new injury worries to deal with but Jack Cork did pick up an injury on his return to the side mid week during the Capital One Cup. Manager Nigel Adkins will look to recall a lot of first team players after resting the likes of Rickie Lambet, Gaston Ramirez and Adam Lallana in mid week. On a side note congratulations to Adam Lallana for becoming a father for the first time this week.
