  • QPR v Saints: Match Preview

Loftus Road Date: Saturday 17th November KO: 15:00

    Queens Park Rangers
Bottom of the table QPR are yet to notch a win this campaign and Mark Hughes has some work to do in order to pull them out of a relegation battle this year. After spending big in the summer and bringing in a large number of new players Hughes men have yet to gel and have only taken 4 points this season. With the likes of Esteban Granero from Real Madrid and Park Ji-Sung from Manchester United coming into the side QPR on paper look a very good team. This weekend could prove make or break for Hughes although being fully backed by Tony Fernandes this week.

Fabio is set to return for QPR today having missed the last two months with a hamstring injury. Ryan Nelsen, Kieron Dyer and Hogan Ephraim are fit, but Bobby Zamora (hip) is a doubt, Stephane Mbia is suspended and Park Ji-sung remains sidelined with a knee injury.

After a much improved performance at home to Swansea manager Nigel Adkins will be hoping to make his sides dominance pay off and the individual errors will be cut out. The match at Loftus Road is being tipped as a relegation 6 pointer by a lot of pundits and could prove the end for either manager should they fail to win the match. Saints have yet to pick up any away points this season but at the same time QPR are yet to win at all. Something has to give this Saturday in what could be the biggest game of Saints season so far.

Frazer Richardson and Richard Chaplow are out injured whilst Brazilian Guly do Prado could make a return after missing out last weekend.

If you could set up a 11 of former/current Southampton-players that you for some reason don't like because of their personality, who would be in it?
