England U21 international joins Saints from Norwich City.
Norwich City winger Nathan Redmond has signed a five-year deal with Southampton.
Redmond, 22, spent this summer alongside Saints starlets Jack Stephens, Matt Targett and James Ward-Prowse as part of the England U21 squad that won the Toulon Tournament.
Redmond moves to St. Mary's after the club trigged the £8m release fee in his contract with the recently-relegated Canaries.
The winger has been a long-term target for Saints, first being linked with the club after bursting onto the scene with local club Birmingham City.
During his spell with the Blues he made 82 appearances after making his debut at just 16 years old. During his time in the Midlands he scored nine goals for Birmingham.
A move to Norwich City followed, with Redmond gaining two years of Premier League experience during his three year stay in Norfolk.
He scored 13 times in 122 appearances in the yellow and green of Norwich City, scoring a crucial goal as the club beat Middlesbrough at Wembley Stadium in the 2015 Championship Play-Off Final.
On the international stage, Redmond has scored nine times in 28 appearances for the England U21 side and has represented the country at every level from U16 upwards.
Speaking after completing his move to Hampshire, Redmond said:
"Iím really pleased to have made the move to Southampton. Itís a fantastic football club with excellent facilities, and I really feel I can develop my game here.
"The clubís style of play has always been excellent. They like to play attacking football and itís a style I feel I can really fit in well with.
"When Southampton said they were interested it felt like the right move for me, and I canít wait to get started now."
