  1. Try this one http://www.feed4u.net/watch/1549186/1/Southampton-FC-vs-Manchester-City.html
  2. Good bit of news, the organisers for the Southampton half have been canvassing on Facebook the possibility of a Southampton full Marathon. First question was would you be happy running the route twice. Most popular answer was a definate NO Must say I dont fancy Burgess Road twice. Anyway one to watch out for. Has anyone here ever run the Bournemoth marathon or half? Just wondered what it was like
  3. Cant believe that, I sorted her central heating out a few years ago. She was far to you to pass on. RIP
  4. Any one here doing the Winchester 10k on the 21st of Feb? Nice early season one to warm you up.
  5. Get yourself on about 30 to 35 miles per week and you should be fine for a sub 2 hour half. When you increase your range do it gradually dont go from a five mile run to a ten extend by two miles or so at a time. If you run around Southampton you cant help but get some hill work in which is a great way of increasing stamina.
  6. Just coming back from an ankle injury which prevented me doing the Great South last year. Only one booked is the Southampton Half which was a great inaugural race last year. Starting to look at few other halfs that wont mess with Wifeys plans
  7. Wish this site had a like button that post would get one
  8. As a gas engineer we come across this problem fairley regularly, the only solution is to alter the builders opening (Technical term for your hole). That is assuming you want an inset fire, if its the old fasioned outset the the builders opening doesnt matter as the fire comes with a closure plate.
  9. We have the Virgin big kahona package and we get all of the BT sports channels thrown in as part of the deal, which is great for watching Saints in Europe, just hope Im still watching them after this week. Like most of you Sky treated us pooly so we switched. We now have the best broadband we have ever had and are happy with the virgin package.
  10. On the 11th September there is to be a debate and vote in the House of Commons on this very emotive topic. Royston Smith being my MP has sent out a survey to see how people think about the issue prior to him voting. To be fair I think it is an excellent way of guaging his constituants opinions rather than just voting how he feels. Should you wish to participate Ive put the link below. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HLFB73P
  11. Think that there is far to much detail in that last post, put me right off my supper.
  12. Film - Difficult to choose But I'll opt for Martin Scorsese's Raging Bull. Book - Something lighthearted so Any one of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels if it has to be one then Men at Arms
  13. It would appear from news reports this morning the Russia's President Putin must also be a Pompey native as he's suggesting that Sep Blatta be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Either that of their delusion is spreading :-)

Thought that they landed in about 1066
  15. Just about sums up our Council all over, it does not seem to mater who's in power they all have the uncanny knack of being short sighted and self interested.
