Doorman Abdul Majid told 7DAYS: “He left with a man and a woman. They looked European and she had yellow hair.
“They seemed to be friends and to know each other.” The Egyptian security man said he remembered Timmy arriving at Rock Bottom, in Bur Dubai, shortly before midnight.
He said: “He was drunk and at first I said he couldn’t come in. But two friends came out and said they would look after him, so I let him in.”
But once inside Timmy was found curled up sleeping in front of the bar and staff woke him up and took him outside. There, Majid steered him to the front of an adjoining hair salon, where the drunk Scot sat on stairs for about 20 minutes.
Staff then remember Timmy zig-zagging along the pavement towards the Regent Palace Hotel, where they said he spoke to a British expat regular known only as Colin.
He also spoke to a woman of Asian appearance. Both could hold vital clues about what happened before Timmy disappeared.
Majid added: “Timmy then went to a taxi and opened the door. I am 100 per cent certain a man and a woman got in the taxi with him.”
