  1. According to FCM's website - an article about how Brentford fans will be keen to go to SMS - FCM had sold just 55 tickets on behalf of Brentford fans by yesterday; plus 54 FCM fans on a fan club bus, 40 sponsors on a plane, and 80 fans making their own way there. The Danish league really isn't that great - I spent the last 8 years watching several FC Copenhagen games - typically disappointing in recent times. So although we have class on our side we risk slipping up here; FCM's record so far is impressive this season, and you can only play what's in front of you: 13 points from 5 games. So I hope RK will keep it solid in deep midfield and at the back after Saturday's debacle.
  2. For what it's worth, for those of you with a chance of getting a match ticket, I noticed that at least Easy Jet's prices (to AMS) leapt up in the hours just after the Vitesse draw was made, and by the next day it had to quite a signifcant extent slipped back. It all depends on the automated algorithm they use to determine the price, and this afternoon their software may be looking to cash in on the spike.. Although demand is high the capacity and competition to Copenhagen from London is intense; London is by far Copenhagen's most popular flight destination. Easy Jet and Norwegian have been slugging it out for the last 7 years and now there is also a new battle beween EasyJet and new-to-Copenhagen Ryanair (jokers) from Luton. EasyJet also have flights from Bristol to Copenhagen some days. Very occasionaly SAS and BA from LHR offer good fares; worth checking for completeness. Next tip: Train Copenhagen Airport or Central to Herning may be quite pricey There is a fast bus to various paces in Jutland, including Herning, or Aarhus, from Copenhagen (both the Airport and the inner suburb of Valby (10 mins from centre): http://www.linie888.dk .
  3. Hamwich got a right old pasting from the Danes back in Saxon times. This time we have a defence. Ironic that King Knut (Canute) was crowned King of England just a stone's throw from St.Mary's. At least he knew when the tide was turning.
  4. I am one of the foolish impetuous ones who jumped the gun on some travel arrangements for the away match v Vitesse, and has no hope of getting away-end match tickets. Obvious if I'd thought about it. I've lived in Denmark for years before coming back to live in UK this year so I only have 2-3 home games per season on the club database (including from League 1 days...). I have a return flight on EasyJet dep Thursday (6/8 ) from Luton 920, arr back Friday (7/8 ) 1225. I paid £122 and would need to spend an additional £70 (if I read the rules correctly) to change the name on the ticket. So I am asking £120 to cover that extra outlay and to mitigate my losses on the ticket. It may be a nice way to avoid Operation Stack! Please PM me if you are interested. I shall want payment before spending any more of my own cash on the booking change, and the outcome will be an e-mailing of a boarding pass and reservation number; no access to my EasyJet account info, I'm afraid. At least I can enjoy having seen the 3-0 last night at SMS!
