Default A message to ALL SMS stands!

This Saturday we must ensure our support is maintained throughout the game regardless of the score. The team is on the brink of breaking through and puttting in a really good performance and getting 3 pts. We need to dispel any 2nd half nerves, especially in the last 15 minutes.

To the Northam : PLEASE show us all the way - the rest of the ground will follow you if you do the business. Collectively, if you're quiet the rest of the ground is quiet and vice versa.

To all other stands : Get behind the team and the Northam and sing, clap, shout etc. We CAN make a difference if we ALL stop getting nervy after 75 minutes and KEEP the noise levels high.

    Err, thanks. (:

    I think you're right, S F C.
I can't do with any more nail-biting and nervous tension. We have to turn SMS back into a fortress by making lots of noise, getting behind the team until the 96th minute.
Admittedly, I sit in the Chapel and that sort of thing doesn't go down well, but let's do that in all areas of the ground. Are you with me?

At Carlisle we sang "lan Pardew's Red Army" for a solid 20min+ and it raised the team, even the subs warming up were watching us in awe. On Tuesday night OWTS was sung loud and slow and sounded brill.

Come on Northam we can do this - show the rest of the ground what this game means to us - go home with a sore throat and no voice if that's what it takes

    WE CAN DO THIS :-)

We seem to have stopped the long songs, other than away by the looks of it. I remeber singing OWTS and barmy army for 20/30 mins at a time a few seasons back until I nearly fainted (nothing to do with the beer, honest!).

Even a vocal Northam aint gonna do the trick though I'm afraid. changes in the Itchen North and the Northam/Kingsland corner have made things difficult.

Too many Saints fans just dont want to sing - or at least don't want to be one of the few that sing in certain stands - it's too embarassing and you get too much attention fro mthe stewards who think you're either mad or drunk.

Ok ok you clever sods - as far as red army is concerned red and white don't fit the song without sounding stupid. And yes mis-type ALAN Pardew - old age catching up on me ;-)

It's been sang for 30+ years and always was Lawrie McMenemy's (and probably Ted Bates' before that) Red & White Army!

Top marks to the Itchen and Kingsland corners that are next to the Northam, but the rest of those stands and the Chapel seem silent, and my mate who doesn't have a season ticket and sits in all sorts of places in the ground told me that if you shout or make a noise you get funny looks from people - who are these people?! Do they not want vocal support for the team?

Reminds me of the FA Cup 1/4 Final in 2003 v Wolves. We were towards the end of the game and about to book booked our place in the Cup Semi Final for the first time since 86. Unfortunately that day I had to sit in the Itchen, and there were a few 12/13 year old lads with their Dad nearby. As the final whistle approached I encouraged them to join in the singing. They looked at me as their Dad said "Ohhh, we don't do singing"

FFS, we had just booked our place at Villa Park, and the whole family were emotionless. At times I wonder if any blood actually pumps in some of our fans or not....

That's ridiculous... "We don't do singing" - Singing is a vital part of backing the team!

Oh well, it could be worse, at least we have one and a bit sets of fans who sing, Watford have none!!!

A rallying cry on a message board will not change a thing. Tomorrow i will still be sat behind the fat smelly fooker and his manky nipper. The chuckle brothers behind that are experts will still be spouting sh** and the bird 4 seats up will still look very tasty. Tomorrow will be a usual mong fest in block 4. Can someone please start a thread giving a rallying cry for all fat shirters to fookin have a shower before the match. That is all for now. many thanks

And this is why a season ticket has never appealed to me!
