This is obviously important information. I am scared that, as I can't post on the main board, and I don't have the PM system enabled, I will not be able to get this information to an administrator in time. As this has 'mods' in the title and knowing the nature of the type of person that wishes to moderate a forum, I assume that all of the mods will read this thread at least a few times each today.

I'm not too fussed about either, but I see enough insulting language on, for example, the climate change thread, that if those involved were being infracted, they would've had a ban by now. Yet people who have posted reasonably clever satirical comments get banned really quickly. Do certain mods (b*j?) especially fear people who can outwit them?
I am so far infraction-free, so have no personal axe to grind on this, but I've noticed that the mods are more heavy handed with what I would call smart-arses than they are with the genuine nasty-bastards.

The actual infraction is for posting pointless and/or sarcrastic remarks. It is seldom applied in the Muppet Show, but when people are trying to have a serious conversation in another section it gets irritating.

St Will and Dubai is wonderful Phil I am afraid feed the stereotype for those like yourself may enjoy the pastime minus the image. I was responding to St Will's accusations that the Mods are all geeks and bullied at school but in my experience the bully's tend to be attention seeking liitle rich kids whose Daddy's are always playing golf.
