they've just rehashed reports from the Mirror, the south london echo and clubcall etc.

Nothing new at all unfort - the echo aren't ITK due to their ban from St Mary's anyway.

Lots of noise about both Ward and Fonte but who would you prefer?

I havn't seen much of either player but the Coventry fans seem to rave about Ward so I'd love to see him sign. I wouldn't be upset by either though!

Forte deal is almost signed, has been in the pipeline for ages apparently.

How do I know this? I'm good mates with another player we have had a bid accepted for and he's mates with Forte (different club though). This player will be our biggest signing of January (unless we go crazy) and will cause a stir as people are expecting him to be signed by a prem club and go up a division rather than drop one.

No, not saying who as he's a good mate and don't want to f*ck this up for him. Hopefully deal will be done in next 2/3 days. If admin want to email me and ask me I don't mind letting you know. What i will say is this player is massively impressed with Saints, both the Manager and the Owners, and we're getting a reputation amongst other clubs as the one with the most potential outside the premiership for the next 2/3 years, oh and we're known for having "loadsa money" too!

Not another Portugeser! *shudder* We were desperately in need in a CB when Gormless George Barley sp unked best part of a milion on 'Pele'!!! I would prefer Ward as he seems a better all round player and more suited the style of play in L1. Having said that at least Fonte has experience of the English game unlike Monteiro who couldn't even pick out England on a map.

Would be superb to have two signings before Millwall away, can't see much happening for the next week due to snow, and clubs are bound to take a while in negotiations with another 3 weeks of the window still to go. Will be interesting if we make a couple of "big signings" if we then let others leave.

Could save us a few quid in transfer fee if we go back for him next week. With the money we save in transfer fee we may offer more in wages or bonus'.

If he is holing out for more money I would prolly tell him to get stuffed as I suspect Pards will have an input on what a player may be worth so trust the club will be offering wages within reason compared to what the business can sustain. Dont want any pre-madona's wasting cash like before.

i'm really not sure where he works/what he does, but he only comes alive on 606 during the transfer window!

tbh i don't think anyone is ITK other than the players and pards/nicola etc - i've had people tell me things, it's probably right in some aspects but you can never be too sure unless it's from the hourses mouth.

Things happen so quick in football, a rumour handed down by a supposed ITK mate can be completely redundant an hour or so later, and often clubs are working on deals that will never come to light etc.

TBH, unless you have eyes on the players signing the bloody contract you have a massive chance of looking like a tit with these sorts of rumours.
