I just cannot believe that Pardew has any chance of being the West Ham Manager

Tell you what, we'll do something complicated like move it to General Sports, and merge it with the half million other Zola Scaked threads. How about that..?

I might even leave a link here. But it is quite simple. If a sports/football topic is NOT DIRECTLY SAINTS RELATED it goes in General Sports. What could be simpler..?

So a man who had over £280m invested in his team and still went down can now save West Ham...

Good, the shorter he is with Skybet the less likely he is to be the new WH manager ! They respond to any speculation faster than you can blink.

    Er, why?

Didn't Gold or Sullivan say that he was on their shortlist to replace Zola if WHU went down? They didn't go down, but Zola is gone, what makes you think he has no chance?

A young, hungry well connected manager. What more do you need in L1?
And a Swiss-Italian chairman may find it easier to work with an Italian manager.

Please note, on points won, he is League One's 5th best manager. He didn't have a -10.

Just a completely random point here, but why did he leave West Ham in the first place ? Wouldn't that prevent him going back ?

And Zola has proved nothing, and wouldn't necessarily be a good idea for Saints. Though Poyet is similarly foreign, London Prem-team based and age/career moves in England, and is doing well for Brighton...

Big rumour around here is that 'Arry is going back to his 'spiritual home'.

I do love these books. Some names seem just to be compulsory to be added to any 'next manager' odds.

Trevor Brooking at 50/1 is the value bet. It's gonna happen one day at West Ham. It would sell a lot of season tickets.

    Grant A 4/9
    Hughes M 6/1
    Bilic S 6/1
    McLeish A 7/1
    Curbishley A 12/1
    Jol M 12/1
    Hoddle G 16/1
    Pardew A 16/1 ******
    Pearson N 16/1
    Jones D 20/1
    Manzano G 25/1
    Di Canio P 25/1
    Venables T 33/1
    Lambert P 33/1
    Coppell S 33/1
    O'Leary D 40/1
    Burley G 40/1
    Reid P 40/1
    Souness G 50/1
    Brooking T 50/1 ***********
    Jewell P 50/1
    Southgate G 50/1
    Eriksson S 50/1
    Houllier G 66/1
    Shearer A 66/1
    Gullitt R 66/1
    Ince P 66/1
    Adams T 66/1
    Rijkaard F 66/1
    Wise D 100/1
    Mourinho J 100/1
