Why Charlton? They're financially crippled and have sold key players like Shelvey and Bailey...

Peterborough, Swindon and Plymouth will be up in the Play-Offs too.

Not sure why they've got Charlton 2nd, i think they'll struggle to get into the top 6 myself.

Think Plymouth, Swindon, Colchester will be upper mid-table, knocking on the playoff places while Brighton will flatter to deceive and Charlton won't have the momentum or staying power.

Brizzle Rovers will finish above Bournemouth. As will Swindon and Colchester.

I hope 21st place is correct. Would love them to go down. Crap team, crap ground and a crap manager.

Agreed. Typical nonsense London bias. They won't even make the top 6 IMO. They're skint, have lost key players, have a far worse squad than us and Huddersfield, and with Pawel Abbott and Akpo Sodje up front (an average player and injury prone reject of ours) there is no way IMO they will finish above us.

I genuinely don't believe we'll win the league. Maybe it's because I've been a Saints fan for too long and I can't begin to contemplate little old Southampton being successful, but whatever the reason, I think playoffs are more realistic.

However, without meaning to contradict myself, our squad is undoubtedly strong enough to secure promotion this time round, and nothing less will do.

Bit surprised to see Charlton in 2nd, and I have my doubts about Notts County making the top six too. Still, it all makes for an interesting season, and hopefully it's one that lives long in the memory for us Saints fans!

I know what you mean, i just missed out on the Lawrie era so grew up watching Nicholls teams then us struggle year after year so most fans under 40 are used to us stuggling and dont expect us to win anything ever. But dont forget in this league and indeed to one above we aren't little old Southampton, we are along with Wednesday the biggest clubs in this division and favourites. If we dont win it or at least go up, it'll be due to either a crisis of injuries or our own fault, everything is in place for success. Personally i think that is a great position to be in.

Some of those predictions seem way off.

Swindon and MK Dons a lot higher - Charlton and Notts County a lot lower, for a start.

I wonder how many times Leeds Utd were top of that list before they actually got out of this division .
