Default £250 for a digital camera

    What would you get?

My old man is hunting for one at the moment, thought i would ask the tripod clad troopers of this forearm.

    Much love

Ok, what's most important to your old man in terms of image quality, features, size, simplicity, build quality, etc?

    Image quality, not massively complex.

Ok i will try a different slant, if you had £250 which digital camera would you buy?

I've got a DMC-FZ8 Lumix 12X optical zoom 7mp, amazing picture quality and top rated. you can get for £150 at comet (the cheapest) or the DMC-FZ28 with 18X optical zoom and 10mp(also top rated) for £208 on the net! Both have built in novice modes, and scene modes ECT!
