This Spanish team is exactly the sort of team which should be put up in classrooms as a definition of football and how it's meant to be played, defensively and offensively.
Agree with that. Never seen a better team than that. No need for them to have a tactic to isolate the likes of Pirlo as they try to control the game from start to finish and generally achieve that. But the likes of England, who are 30 years behind Spain, should have closed down Pirlo.

being these silky players are the in thing....a good season for lallana would surely mean a call up....if we are seriously going to get more technical players involved

It'll be interesting to see how he does next year for sure, he's got that technical ability and agility which alot of English players lack. Downing or Lallana? No brainier.

I'd prefer England to lose with better technical players than watch what they have always been. But will Hodgson be the man to do that. The golden age of English players was wooden.

he has the skills.....he is at the right club that gets the best out of him...turn it on against a few big clubs and a few times on telly...get a couple of goals and we shall see if the FA have the balls

I wonder how many Spanish players will be in the Man City squad come the first game of the season? I'm sure Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan is probably opening his cheque book as we speak, to bid for some of those Spanish players who aren't currently in The Man City squad.

To be fair, most of that spanish squad are already at the one of the greatest club sides in the world, so there's not much room for moving there.

The only spanish guys I could see them possibly going for are Martinez, or Llorente.

I hope so. I don't quite fancy the odds for us away in a game billed as Spain vs Saints Man City away is bad enough!

How about the Greek goalie vs. Germany? Surely the worst performance by any player in a match.
