Hopefully i'll be there, depends where the other fixture is to be played.
Really hoping it will be a bigger team/ground like Lyon/Marseille.
Given it's only a 2 hour drive for me I might give it a go - plus I have a Great St Bernard tunnel ticket to use before it expires. Anybody else considering going?

Hope to go to the Saturday game.
Would like to go over for both games with the nipper but will focus on the Saturday game.
Drive over on the Thursday and head back on the Sunday.
I was planning the same as VFTT but it looks like one heck of a drive. It's 8 hours from Callais down to Geneva so I'll be looking for flights or maybe the TGV.
@ Orange :
You'll be dissapointed, then.
They already had to move after being promoted as their own ground did not meet French first division regulations.
I might be there as well.

Just wanted to let you know as you wrote "Really hoping it will be a bigger team/ground like Lyon/Marseille."
I've been there quite a while ago an it's even on their Wikipedia entry :
"Evian formerly played its home matches at the Stade Joseph-Moynat in the club's hometown, but moved to the Parc des Sports in nearby Annecy for the 2010–11 season as the Joseph-Moynat did not meet the Ligue de Football Professionnel's standards. The Parc des Sports will serve as a temporary stadium for the club, while the club contemplates building a new facility or renovating the Stade Joseph-Moynat."
On the Saints' homepage they say they will be playing at their old ground, which holds 6.000 approx and looks like this :

HERE they say
Saints' second friendly will see them take on Ligue 1 outfit Évian Thonon Gaillard FC at the Stade Joseph-Moynat on Saturday 21st July, with the fixture kicking off at 7pm local time.
And the Stade Joseph Moynat 100% is their old, small ground.
I've been there before...
Stade Joseph-Moynat is a multi-use stadium in Thonon-les-Bains, France. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Croix de Savoie Gaillard. The stadium is able to hold 6,000 people.

Were heading out there for the Saturday game in a 12 seater mini bus. Leaving Friday, stopover Saturday night, back Sunday.
Looks like we may well do both, seeing as I'm off work that week, and not yet booked a holiday!
PS; Some of you might find this useful:

Looks like kick-off is 18.00:

Eric, I'm sure I could send you a few of my favourite links...
Only joking!
About f*cking time they announced the other fixture.
Funnily enough Evian also had a TBA match for that date! I think one against them is enough though...
'Dunno why we've got for two such small teams.
Etoile Carouge on the fixture list. Quoi? Che? Off to google unless you've got any useful stuff SM?
Anyone else thinking of flying from southampton?
Geneva, or from Bournemouth. Also thinking about mini bus down there. If anyone's got acouple of spare seats going, let me know!

Just been looking around for a camping site as it's only a couple of days now. Anybody camping? If I do instead of a hotel I can then spend a bit more on a decent meal. It seems strange for an away match for nobody to have any local knowldege. "Which one's the away bar"? :-)
Apparently my daughters 5th birthday party is more important than my nipper & I heading to Evian.
Whoop, just seen you're staying in Lausanne: sprint for the ferry then!
There are ferries from Evian at 22.00 and 23.00. I've checked and there are a few taxi firms in Evian/Thonnon, so should be alright in getting to and from the game.
Going to cost a few bob extra but worth it to ensure we're in a city with clubs that go to the wee hours.
Ah right, you're going to spend a bit of money on your night out!:-) Best to pre-book that taxi: I won't be driving anywhere (hic) so don't look at me.. Seems a shame booking a hotel, it's so warm a park bench would do you rather than the chambermaid coming to chuck you at 10 in the morning after 5 hours "sleep".
B*****ks, it's hissing down this side of the Alps and the forecast for tomorrow is not brilliant: http://www.ilmeteo.it/meteo-europa/Thonon-les-Bains
Hmmm, camping... I could afford a hotel but do I want to?.. Got August in the UK to pay for, maybe I'll stay sober after all and just do a day trip of it..
Weathers not good beers not cheap coyr
Was glorious sunshine up until KO when it hammered it down. Even meant I was forced to pay €5 extra to go on the terrace with the roof.
Decent little trip though, nice part of the world but also an expensive part of the world. Knew that beforehand though so can't grumble too much.
Anyone got any highlights of the game? I'm too tight to splash out for Saints Player.
