You think the manager shouldn't be taking it seriously?

I'm kind of interested. Will probably watch them. Don't see any particular reason not to.

I'm interested. Brazil, Argentina and Spain are usually interested.

Funny how much people moan about lack of good young players, national team not performing, but then write off the importance of a tournament for the u23s. The chance of an Olympic medal must be great for any sportsman and I'm sure all involved are chuffed, especially when it's on home soil. Bet a lot of people change their mind if the team does well. Shame Bale is out though. Brazil and Spain have very strong sides so I think one of them will win it.

Of course I am interested. It's sport, it involves Great Britain that I support. Better than that, it's a football competition and there is a possibility that we could win a medal in it.

Just flicking through the TV and saw Team GB v Sweden was on (Womens). Some of the Swedish players aren't too shabby.....

But it was quite dire so turned it off.

Will prob watch the Men's team tonight.

It`s a Football tourno on TV during the close season and we have a player in the Team. What is not interesting about that ?

It'll be a good indicator how good our young players are compared with other countries. I expect Brazil to stuff us looking at their squad

    No Cork starting.

Notice the Welsh players didn't sing the Anthem.

Make 'em sing it Psycho! They're playing for GB now!

Trying to wonder why there is any expectation from Team GB.

They are a mongrel that has been cobbled together at short notice and with plenty of controversy, playing settled teams from other FAs.

Occaisonally the Barbarians or the Lions get a result in rugby against a settled team. Same COULD happen here (doubt it but you never know)

Spanish taters on ESPN2 have been mentioning JC & Southampton a lot

Great tackle there in the box by JC on Lucas & a great first time ball to set up an attack about 5 mins ago

    Looks the part tbh

Probably to appease someone who thought Great Britain was taking their individuality.

I'm looking at you Wales and Scotland.

Ball passed back to him, he kicked it up field to a Senagalese striker who had a clear one on one. Butland did come out and the stiker put it wide.

Kick up field was just too low.

The annoying replay sound is beyond our control. This is the Olympics so the coverage is put together by producers the World over

    HT

    1-0

Not one of the all time classic matches.

Wondered it in the past but, why does Old Trafford have that big ditch around the pitch? Presumably for drainage purposes. Would have thought it a bit dangerous if players go flying off the pitch.

No more than Senegal deserve really. A nicely placed through-ball but the defending from GB was shocking.

They are a team of 6 foot 3+ players and we pump it forward in the air all the time...feckin rubbish.

Are the beeb showing every Team GB match? Personally, I'm sick of international footy after the woeful Euros.

They are showing every single game full stop.

Noone seemed to know what to chant or sing.

It was bizzare and underwhelming game - felt like Saints could have done much better

The beeb via red button or sky are showing every minute of the whole Olympics not just the football.
