Dune banned

WTF?!! I see the mods have got their finger over the lock and infraction keys again. Lots of threads being locked on the main board for no real reason with the Pompey v gib thread locked and moved to the takeover thread despite it having fick all to do with the takeover. Not all of us want to read thorough pages and pages of business bollix and we just want to take the p*ssoutof Pompey being dicked by a country smaller than the capacity of SMS. Dune seems to be part of this current crackdown. Ridiculous, no dissenting voices on here. FFS

As far as I know it's a 24 hour ban only for having a mini melt down and posting threads containing infraction messages etc.
There were a couple of deleted threads as well (not just locked ones).

Also, despite you thinking we do nothing except wait on here to lock a thread or hand out an infraction, one of the reasons Dune was given this ban was so that the mods didn't have to clear away the toys he threw out of his pram over a friday night/saturday afternoon.

Chalet gave me an infraction for copying and pasting from another website (even though the copy and paste was his infraction message from here) so he then reversed it and gave an infraction for starting a locked thread complaining about the pettyness of locking a perfectly reasonable thread. He'll probably infract this too.

The threads were deleted because I made a valid point and Chalet simply could not have that. This followed the pathetic decision to lock the thread about the sun article simply because the mod who locked it didn't want it to be discussed. Can you explain why the discussion of that thread wasn't allowed?

What's wrong with opening a thread about infractions? The problem with you mods is that when you're dishing out infractions they are unchallengeable. I've sent PMs in the past challenging infractions on got either no reply or an obtuse one. For example one Jimmy D gave me a few weeks ago because he took a personal dislike to a comment I'd made which no other board user would have any idea whait was about. If you decided on a whim to start giving them out then as PAYING users or customers we surely have every right to challenge them.

I don't think he liked everyone seeing how absurd the original infraction was. Like you say not everyone is interested in the long winded pompey takeover thread (renamed by Chalet I might add because the original title wasn't deemed suitable despite it being perfectly fine) and the said takeover thread wasn't even appropriate for the discussion of the game anyway. Of course there's the heinous crime of posting a pfc thread in the saints sub forum tut tut.

I think this is why Baj stated they would only be given 12 before new mods were installed. This was about 24 months ago.

In that case, I'll back you. Might as well try that control F4 thing Clarke suggested, what's the worse that could happen. SWF is owned by a unique set of people that once in a conversation, never, ever, change topic or let the conversation develop. I also have it on good grounds that the site is actually completely free to run. They take all of the £5 we given them and hire Litchenstein each year for a massive shakira concert where Baj plays lead guitar and Steve takes the part of wyclef jean. I could be wrong but this is what I've been told.

Sounds like fun! Think I'll do Dune and Turkish first coz they remind me too much of some of the primary school kids I teach: always trying to push the boundaries because it makes them feel older.
