Yet another person medling in things he shouldn't I despare sometimes and I don't

"Scientists in the US have created a synthetic creature that swims like a jellyfish using artificial materials and rat heart cells.
The creature — dubbed a "medusoid" — looks like a flower with eight petals and pulses and swims when an electrical current is fed into the water, Nature reports.
The project was led by Dr Kevin Kit Parker, a biophysicist at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
"Morphologically, we’ve built a jellyfish. Functionally, we’ve built a jellyfish. Genetically, this thing is a rat," Dr Parker said.
.
Cool.
"Oh brave new world, which has such creatures in it......."
You make pigs smoke. You feed beef burgers to swans. You have big sheds, but nobody's allowed in. And in these sheds you have 20ft high chickens, and these chickens are scared because the don't know why they're so big, and they're going, "Oh why am I so massive?" and they're looking down at all the little chickens and they think they're in an aeroplane because all the other chickens are so small.
All to do with furthering tissue engineering, which I did a massive project on last year. It's exciting stuff, and if this helps us towards growing a heart for heart transplant operations, then I'm all for it.
Hmmm, fear and loathing?
Dr Kevin Kit Parker is also trying to perfect the monkey-chicken so we can populate our new petting zoo.
I think some of them are walking amongst us.
My son is currently doing a Phd at Oxford University in Genetics (yes, he is a smart arse).
He goes a little quiet and vague when I catch up with him and ask him what he does.
It's supposedly research into Alzheimer's Disease, which would be great if they can hasten a cure.
But I suspect he's growing brains in petrie dishes or something equally disturbing.
Anything else or are we finished with quacking plumbs! Classic Partridge!
