Default Saints chase Micah Richards (Dodgy Rumours)

    31 Jul 2012 21:58:04
Southampton are attempting an audacious move for Manchester City defender Micah Richards believed to be 9 million. His agent is dealing with the deal as he is currently with Team GB, he is understood to be looking for first team football with Man City bringing in more players this summer. Tottenham and Liverpool are also interested but have yet to put a bid in.

But anyone could make a thread about a rumour. Football rumours is in no way a credible source.

Just wondered why you started this thread. Seems a little pointless.

TBF this won't happen, but he's exactly the sort of CB I think we lack. Physical, powerful and pacey.

The guy from Rennes (I think?) is supposed to be in a similar mold.

No rumour thread would be complete without the obligatory Youtube clip.

    Wendy Richards best performance :

    0.40 for her first appearance.

Posting anything from that site should be an immediate week long ban. And posting anything from the "dodgy rumours" section should be a lifetime ban and 36 hours' community service.

Just googled Wendy Richard and found that she left Viv some years back. Seems she remarried and changed her name to Pauline Fowler. Pauline had a young son called Robbie and, if my sources are correct, he's about to sign for us...... Anyone know if this Robbie Richard is any good?

WHU have made an audacious bid for Carrol, so if we mean business then i'd expect a big signing this summer to match the talk. The only way we are going to attract better players to deliver what cortese talks about is if we spend a bit of money. this rumour is probably b/llocks, but it is for a player in the ballpark of where we might be aiming.

Wendy Richard's best performance, not Wendy Richards' best performance.

They have completely different surnames and are clearly not related.

You'd never get that kind of mistake in football. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laryea_...#Personal_life

In my opinion their appraoch for Caroll is just to please fans, I don't think there's any real intent to make it happen from either side. - I doubt it will happen

I don't necessarily think a ''massive'' signing is what we'll do, we'll go for young quality, with potential - but genuine potential, i.e potential internationals. As long as we kind of consolidate thus year, once all our potential matures, we're laughing.

It's all about taking it steady, rather than rushing out and buying big this summer.

No, expect to be roundly mocked by all. Especially if you think Wendy Richard's surname is Richards.

Yes Hypo, knock yourself out. Just make sure you reference it is from Dodgy Rumours please - that way I can find it easily to move into TMS after the initial decent banter has died down.

To be honest if you really want a tangible reaction you could try punching a massive bloke in the face and see what he does. You will be the funniest person ever.

That said Richards would be a cracking buy. Youngish, British, athletic, experienced and versatile - fits our recent buying profile.

I think it was one Saints-praising Pompey-bashing post too far. I'm simply amazed I was allowed to make over 100 other posts of the same ilk. Operation Infiltration can be regarded as a success overall though.
