Hole in the wall at waterloo
Where is everyone drinking then?
Hole in the wall at waterloo
Is it not better to go to Clapham J?
Short tube ride from waterloo
plenty of pubs/bars on islington hight st,or up the holloway rd.
there's the drayton on drayton park rd but imagine thats now a home pub as opposite the emirates
Was going to go Clapham > Victoria > Finsbury Park.
Just had a look, probably better to go to Waterloo > Leicester Square > Arsenal.

Yep that'S WHAT WE ARE DOING, POP IN THE HOLE IN THE WALL FOR 11.30AM, HAVE A COUPLE THERE THEN TUBE IT TO ARSENAL
for us losers not going to the game anywhere know of any pubs in Soton showing the game ? I understand Oceana might be.
Anyone know if there will likely be a stream for Saturday?? For those of us unfortunate enough not to get their hands on a ticket
Would expect there to be a stream, think there always in for Prem games. Search for WIZIWIG on google and it'll be on there somewhere I would have thought.

Might pop into the Porterhouse in Covent Garden as it's probably the best pub I've ever been in.
After the game we had to walk a fair distance to find an underground station that had not been shut due to overcrowding. We found that the Arsenal underground had been shut by the police and so had to undertake a fairly long walk to Finsbury Park which was also shut by station staff. We were recommended by the police to take the mainline train into Kings Cross, which we did with no problems and were back in central London within 10 minutes.
Going to lords to watch some of the Hampshire game beforehand.
Going to the Albion in Islington. Nice pub.
Drinking in Borough, then around Kings Cross, then hopefully fit 1 or 2 in somewhere near Finsbury Park/the ground.
There will be lots of Hants cricket fans on the trains up and in the pubs around Waterloo on the way back, should make for a good day
Will be having a couple of snifters on the train, then boozing at Lord's until about 2, then bolting to Emirates. Probably Camden for the evening.
I'm amazed people are not going to bother Kings Cross or Angel
Think I'm out in Soho in the evening...!
Anyone staying late in london really should try this place
open til 2 , free entry , dj.
5 minutes walk from both covent garden and holborn stations, my favourite pub in london.
If anybody is getting out at Finsbury Park, the Twelve Pins & Blackstock are right near the station. They may both be home pubs only.
Also nearby, I would recommend the Faltering FullBack http://thefullback.co.uk/ or the Old Dairy in Stroud Green http://www.theolddairyn4.co.uk/
If anyone fancies a drink a bit further out, I would recommend my local, The Salisbury http://www.timeout.com/london/bars/v...alisbury-hotel
You can jump on the 29 bus outside the Salisbury and will be withing staggering distance of the Emirates in 5-10 mins.
7.30am train to Waterloo followed by breakfast in the spoons at Leicester Square. From there it will be off to The Lamb & Flag and The Nags Head at Covent Garden, along to The Cross Keys on Endell Street and then up the road to the White Hart on Drury Lane. Tube from Holborn to Kings Cross, swift one in the Dolphin before train to Finsbury Park. One more in the Twelve Pins and then off to the ground.
I have literally just received a message from a friend in real life that suggests we follow Griffo's advice on Saints Web. **** me.
Graffito, indeed the Salisbury did feature in the Long Good Friday. Also featured in the film "Chaplin", I believe. Lovely pub for the afficiandos; mosaic tiled floors. You did well getting upstairs BTW. I understand it's used by some evangelical church group now. Back in the day the pub was the centre piece of Grand Parade.
I used to live on Hermitage Road and regularly went to The Salisbury. Such a great boozer. The Old Dairy and Fullback are fantastic too. Miss the N4 area. I now live in the tedious, if pleasant suburbia of Southfields! I will be at the game though. Unfortunately in the Gooner's End too...
Real shame that despite this game being played in by far the best part of London for pubs etc people are going like lemmings to Cov Gdn and the HITW (truly awful boozer). Check out Angel, walk up Upper St or Liverpool Road where there are dozens of brilliant boozers. Barnsbury also class (someone suggested the Albion, when the sun is shining London's best pub IMO - oh and it's on or near "Thornhill Road" to you feel at home).
Finny Park not a bad shout either, personally prefer Upper st massively though.
Yes, it was probably a bit rough back in the day. Believe it or not though, the Salisbury was one of the primary reasons for buying our house (Stanhope Gds). We went in there after viewing our gaff and made the decision there and then that area was just right for us...and that was over 7 years ago!!!
I've got to meet a mate in Angel anyway. I've heard there are some very decent bars there though might have a look.
Is it walkable from their to Emirates Jackanory ?
Upper Street in the evening for our gang, cracking night out.
They never complain if you take off the football shirt and put it in your pocket though... (the least hassling way of getting round the this is not a football pub line, especially if the place is less crowded)
