The Prem is just so ruthless and yes we have had a very tough start, but home defeats against Wigan and Villa would not bode well for the rest of the campaign.

Fantastic two seasons for Adkins managing us, to think he would be given the chop after 5/6 games is, frankly, ridiculous.

I agree that Cortese is more likely to act sooner rather than later if we don't start picking up points now we've played all our toughest early fixtures. However, the OP's post is not based in reality as nothing Saints related has been on sky all afternoon.

Whose slagging him off? I think you could count on one finger the number of posters who want Nigel sacked. There are however a large number of posters who realise modern football is a cut throat bussiness and chairman don't tend to let a poor run of results go unpunished these days. Despite most of us wanting Nigel to get time and turn things round it isn't up to us............Hopeful Nigel hasn't had a public message of support from the chairman becuase we all know where that normally leads.
