So bad. To be expected, it is EA Sports. Lambert lower than an out-of-position Jay? Fack right off.

I've been playing since Saturday, we came as a (ridiculously narrow) 4-3-3 on mine. Easy enough to switch it up anyway - got it set up as 4-2-3-1 at the moment:

    Code:

             Davis

    Clyne Fonte Hooiveld Fox

       Davis Schneiderlin

    Puncheon Ramirez Lallana

            Lambert
That formation pushes Gaston further forward than the two next to him though. Plays brilliantly in the whole and links up very well with Lambert.

If anybody plays Ultimate Team then good luck with completing a Saints squad - Mayuka sells for 30,000 coins at the moment because he's apparently the only BPL striker with a 5* weak foot (plus 4* skills and 90 pace).

Oh and also we took a right hit in the live updates after the Arsenal game (as you'd expect). It must update every couple of weeks as we weren't boosted back up after Villa. A couple more decent results and our stats will look better than these base ones.

  14. Default

On the iphone/ipad version the stats sema little better

    Gaston is 80 , Clyne is 83, Lallana is 81, S.Davis is 77 , Fox is only 69 though

Schneiderlin lower than Kelvin, Steve Davis, Clyne and Hooiveld is very surprising and unjust. It would be interesting to know how they came to this assessment.

just remember it could be worse with PES 2013 when were either 'south coast club' or 'red and white rovers' with barely recognizable players

I'm not allowed to play the game anymore as I once threw a PC out the window after losing to my brother many many years ago.
I have a wicked temper when it comes to Speedball 2, Counterstrike & FIFA.

Yoshida should be far better than that with what I have seen of him. He'll be our no1 CB this season IMO.

That makes no sense. Saints have been in FIFA regularly for the whole time we've been outside the Prem, it's PES which has reintroduced Saints (or SOTON actually), as well as decent gameplay, finally, this season.

We were never either of those. We are now "SOTON". Beats being "Berkshire Blues" or "North West London" anyway. Plus the wonder of PES is if you don't like the look of people, you can just edit them all until you do.

Are you the taxi driver who told my mate in London he'd sent his FIFA12 Chelsea formation to Roberto di Matteo yesterday ?

Ah, wondered why he's been going for so much. Think the cheapest I've seen was a buy it now of 30,000.

Having difficulty with all the Saints rares. Only one I've managed to get for a decent price was a Seaborne. Haven't seen an awful lot of Gazzanig's and all are going for a few grand. For my 2* team I've ended up with a Saints back four, Morgan holding and 5 French players in front of him to try and boost the chemistry.

Wish the matchday stuff would update more promptly. Doesnt seem a lot of point in advertising that it reflects real life if it's going to be a week out of date all ther time.

PES is actually decent again this year as well. Just a shame that the transfers are so out of date. Gazzaniga/Clyne aren't in the game at all. Gaston/Mayuka/Yoshida can at least be transferred (though Mayuka has a fake name for Zambia by default). No transfer patch due until mid-October. Hammond/Sharp/Forecast/Barnard/Forte all in squad. Squad numbers based on last years (plus Rodriguez has 55). Shocking really. At least Boruc is in the database which is one thing it has on FIFA.

Please explain why anyone would by PES? Players don't look the same, Clubs aren't the same, and transfers etc out of date? Surely just by FIFA 13?

Speedball 2 is a quality game! Used to play it for ours against my next door neighbour, was always too close between us...

Yoshida is the only player with a game face.

Lambert's only rated 74 so E.A have another expensive player on the Ultimate Team market.

We're not a bad team to use on head to head mode, Ramirez and Lallana both skilful and Lambert is deadly inside the box.

  30. #30

The best players to use on Fifa are players who are quick and big. We were never much good on the last few because we had little pace in the side. Sure Mayuka will be a handy player on the game this season.

Sure Fonte and Lambert were rated as 70 when we were in L1?!

been playing career since sunday, the player growth seems better this year - about two thirds of the way through the season and so far Lallana has grown to 80, Ramirez 82, JRod 77, Clyne 78, Mayuka 76, Schneiderlin 77, Cork 75, Yoshida 73, Shaw 64. KD has slipped to 72

No problem SB old pall. Firstly by by I guess you mean buy? If so, people might buy it out of loyalty as they have enjoyed previous versions or they might prefer the game play of PES or winning 11 or they just might not want to give Fifa and big Sep any more money. I know you always enjoy reading my posts, I hope this helps. x

Fully licensed Champions/Europa League? I have no idea myself, played the demo and thought it was poor.

I enjoyed your post so much I'm going to use up my last of three posts replying to this well constructed reply. Yes I did mean buy, i'll blame that on the iphone. I see, to me however it sounds like people that buy PES are scared to change there ways, hate being mainstream & dislike the big Sep. x

I am honoured that would do that for me SB. By there, I am guessing you mean their? Iphone must be playing up again.

I think you may be right. People that 'support' one game over an other are a bit strange though, whether it is being pro Fifa or pro PES, they are just games! Buy the one you like and leave it at that.

Alternatively, you might wish to write a blog and show your friends.

Is it true that if you turn "match day" on the teams update with the last line up in "real life" and player rating go up or down depending on real life form? If so, that is amazing.

It is but Saints are still listed as being bottom of the league, recent form consists of nothing but losses, every player has had their overall reduced due to being off form and all the upcoming "games of the week" happened last weekend.

Could be a great feature if it actually reflected real life and wasn't a week behind.

This is precisely why the best Football game on the market is, and has always been (in both guises), the FM series. Will still get Fifa though, but I'm really **** at it. I'm not patient enough figuring out the controls.

They seem about right considering we're a newly promoted team and largely untested at the top level. I'm sure the likes of Lallana, Ramirez, Lambert etc will break into the 80s after a few months.

Saying that though, quite how they can rate Schneiderlin a 72 (seriously, wtf?) and Yoshida, who *captains his country*, a 69 is beyond me.

Longest 24 hours, that wasn't an iphone error but sounds better if I blame Iphone..

My concern now is that after the everton lose Fifa stats for saints will again decrease. What is your opinion on this tokyos?

Don't really see how being captain of a country should give him a higher rating considering he played 36 times for the worse defence in the Dutch league last season.

Surely you must agree that his rating should be better than that of Jos and Jose though, which it's not
