I guess cork will rotate with Davis and jwp will drop out. Not so sure about lee, you'd have to ask Atkins.
When they get back from injury, where are they going to fit in, will they be in the starting 11 or the subs bench? and who's is going to make way for them?

We need to play different sides at home and away..with different formations. Away games will be a problem for many sides - not just us.
Cork was an ever present last season (well almost) .....so he should be a regular - when properly " Saints fit " and play at alternative RB or change player for Steve Davis.
JWP is a great prospect, but to will break his spirit, if he continues to play in a losing side, he should be rested more often but come off the bench instead when needed.
Lee has been the victim of two "freak injuries".....when fit he should play in all home games......and see how he develops.
He should start and (according to success) be changed out with Punch or JayRod.....and change the formation to suit.
It can be seen that many sides learn what went wrong in the first 45 and don't need to wait and have an after-match inquest.
If we are winning at half time, they will counter quickly - we must do the same. If we are losing, we need a change formation / players much earlier 46 mins. - and not after 70 mins.

Well...according to my info.(right /wrong) . they were in training and -not game time ?....OR ..?
Guly trampled on his foot and broke (something) in the Spring....and he was out for 4-5 months....
.....and damaging / breaking an arm is surely a lot less commonplace than say ...and ankle or knee injury - isn't it?
Indeed injuries of all sorts are pretty common in football, they don't all happen during matches or training sessions. Which is why PL clubs have 25 man groups + young players I guess. What most of them don't have is 3 or 4 players who are theoretically part of the squad but will play absolutely no part in the club's PL campaign, like Seaborne,Dickson and Butterfield.
wow hang on guys ...this is supposed to be about Tadanari Lee and Jack Cork....see OP .....let's try and get back to Cheese on Toast's original question ...
I'm sorry that my " passing comment" has created so much conjecture.....maybe they weren't freak injuries/ or training injuries ? ...so what ?
......so back to Lee and Cork then .....? your thoughts....
If that's correct I do wonder why we're wasting a reported 25K a week on Lee then, not very Cortesian at all, bet he hates wasting money on lost causes. Cork was demoted in the numbering system this summer, that usually means in our case that you're not starter material. We should cut that out by the way, no other club does it, players take whatever number they're given in the majority of cases.
That sounds logical I agree, but human nature says that some players may have a lucky/ unlucky number, South American players like 10....English strikers like 9... and Saints players cherish the 7 shirt.
Lallana seems to like 20 (!) .........why ?
If it's an issue.. I don't think there's any harm in asking .... (some second choice goalkeepers have had 13 ), but some outfielders might be superstitious about that.
MY first thought... after he (JayRod) signed........was that he would be groomed to become Rickie's eventual replacement.
However, as it turns out he may have to wait a bit longer than he (and many others) thought. Surprise, Surprise says the Footballing world ...Rickie Lambert can score goals in the Prem. too
If we play (as I think we must) Lee and Mayuka on an (i)regular basis then JayRod is going to have to spend a bit longer on the bench, or until RL's career takes a down turn...which seems unlikely just now.
It's a "squad game " says Atkins.....and he won't be the only one.but if you think I'm being hard on Jay Rod .or his performances let me quote you the career record of a striker who joined us some time back.
Season 1... 22 starts ....scored just 5 goals...............OK we said, he's new.
Season 2.... 8 starts ....scored no goals at all...What a waste of space he's turning out to be !
Season 3... 29 starts ....scored 11 goals.................. Alright... a bit better..at least he was leading scorer...
Season 4....24 starts.....scored 12 goals...................still doesn't sound very promising - does he ?.....but wait a bit..
Season 5....35 starts.....scores 23 goals ! ......it was James Beattie.
He was the highest-scoring English player in the Prem. that season and missed out on the Golden Boot to Thierry Henry - no less !
Jay Rod's time will come. Beattie was 25 when he got his best tally, but whilst we've still got Rickie Lambert fit and scoring .I hope that Jay Rod will learn a little patience if he doesn't get to start every game.
well actually.. I'm probably more English than you......because I was born in So'ton....and I imagine .. a long time before you, as well .....Originally Posted by Cheese on Toast;1491376[B
If my spelling mistake bothers you .....put it down to a touch of .....Alsheimers....or, my arthritic fingers....and my failure to use the spell check !
btw I stand by my comments -above.
Alzheimer's
Also, being born in England before someone else does not make you more English than them. It just makes you older.
Yeah, f*ck Sweden!
He seems to have a fair left peg on him so would he be out of place in the left sided forward/winger role ?
I guess we have Adam and Ramirez that can play there also - but they "seem " to be both playing a more central role.
regardless it will only be hard work and determinnation that will get Lee back into the team ( OK Injuries aside ) and that can only be a good thing.
Once fit I can see Cork going straight back into the team in the place of JWP.
Morgan, Jack and Steve looks a lot more solid midfield with our more pacey, creative players working the wings for Rickie and JRod (Please can we just play him in the striker role )
Anyone have any latest news on either of these guys? I haven't heard anything about Tadanari for, well it seems like an age.
Tadanari Lee could be one of our most important players if he did not spend so much time in the treatment room.
Japanese Delgado then
....so far Lee's knees have been Premiership quality, it's just the rest of him. We'll laugh about all this one day.
Heard he played in a closed door match between Saints in red and Saints in white.
A full scale match at Staplewood.
I was looking forward to Cork and Schneiderlin in midfield for us this year. Thought they linked up really well.
So I hope he gets back soon. That way we can defend more efficiently in midfield and not have players running through it all the time.
Cork has been a big miss - was pretty much an ever present last year.
Also he is capable of playing RB - would have been ideal to bring him on last week against Fulham.
Lee going on a months loan to the Championship might not be a bad idea.
