mrs le taxi has a slow puncture, we have a spare can of emergency puncture sealant stuff knocking about... is this safe? would save time and expense going to get the thing repaired at a garage.

The foam is not permanent, it's only meant to get you to a garage in the case of an emergency. Best bet spend 30 mins getting it fixed properly.
