20 at least. Though we should just be content with making double figures, with a defence like ours, our main aim should be just trying not to humiliate ourselves any further.

MiltonRoader in starting a half decent non wind-up thread shocker!!!

So long as we are not cut adrift too much from those around us, I don't think we even need to focus on a number. A couple of new signings in the right places could totally transform us with several months of games to play. We just need to keep up with the other teams that are also awful at the moment

Minimum 14 ideally at least 20.

Essential to beat QPR, Reading and Norwich and a single draw against anyone else.

Aren't wind-ups supposed to be clever and/or funny? Sadly you are neither.

To be fair, I find Dalek & Alpine to be neither of these things!

How many points for what? a challenge for the title or to stay up?

It depends on how the other teams get on really, I think we should take one game at the time and try scrape a boring draw away and get a win at home on every game we play now.

To stay up, I always like a team to have around 15-20 points by January. Much less than that, and they have an almighty fight in the 2nd half of the season.

At this moment in time, I would bite your hand off for those results.

I know this was a long time ago but in 98/99 we had 2 points after 9 games and minus 18 goal difference. By game 18 we had 13 points. Some people just seem to forget this is how it was nearly every season. If we get to January not too far away from safety and get some decent defenders in at the start of Jan I reckon we will be fine

Realistically, you think we'll only lose one of the next 9, having just lost seven out of 9?

    I'm not so sure.

"Game on" would be 3 points or less below 17th. Or maybe even more. Preferable 10 points above, but that ain't going to happen

I can see the safety target being quite low in the Prem this year, maybe 35 points. We'll be at least 10 points short of even that.

35 points feels like a lifetime away.
