Thread: Does anyone have an update on Ramirez fitness?

Default Does anyone have an update on Ramirez fitness?

For me is vital. I know he was in full training since a week ago so surely should be at least on bench Monday! The second half vs villa was like watching messi.

You need to stop making this same thread every week.

If we are to continue with our current 'outscore the opposition' approach he is key to it.

Hopefully he'll be back soon. Was a complete joy to watch v Villa.

You need to stop saying 'you need'.

It's a shame that "shouting someone down" has become something to be proud of on this board.

I think Rogers question is a fair and sensible one. It is important that we get Ramirez back ASAP and if anyone can shed light on the matter then that would be appreciated.

Someone's just posted on Saintslist that he's fit but will be starting at leftback.

I said exactly this on another forum, but, unfortunately, I was 'shouted down'.

    It's a shame an' a sin , that's what it is.

His red blood cell count is 120:75 L/G so I think he will make the bench.

He's living in the Hilton at Chilworth and has been driving himself around for at least 3 days and is in light training,
source you may ask and I'm sure you lot will ask?
My beloved nephew works on the desk there, updated me about an hour ago, speaks English very well too, (Gaston that is!!)
Artur Boruc has moved out, got his own place apparently ( so he can smoke wherever he wants then )

He wanted the top suite the Hilton have but it wasn't available on his arrival, so he has two suites inter-connected @ £75 each per night, gutted for the poor lamb!

Agreed, very worrying. This shows a lack of cohesive leadership at the club. Maybe we're up for sale?

Or he's following the example of George Burley. What is the favourite tipple of a Uruguayan I wonder...?

This is not a joke but we are about to relive the Delgado saga with Ramirez going to be playing more for Uraguay than Saints. Just look at their schedule for the rest of the season, and, expect injury time taking up the rest with a game or two to make up for the 12 million transfer fee. Someone swore after Delgado finally departed that we'd never sign another South American again. It's coming back to haunt us.

Who swore that? Whoever it was, they were wrong years before we signed Ramirez.

To be fair, Ramirez must be thinking he was totally duped when he agreed to sign, so no wonder he's still in the Hilton anxiously fingering his open air tickets.

"Ah so dee famoosze Saints that playze at St Trafford?! Where so I sign, gringo?"

When Cortese said we'd be playing in Europe in 3 years time Ramirez didn't realise they were bringing back the Ango Italian Cup.

Ramerez is a glory buy that that Cortese had to push through once he'd put his money were his mouth was. A buy designed to appease the fans if this guy was so good united and arsenal would have had him on the radar he's a decent player but one pricey buy doesn't make a team. What's most tragic is the purchase of ramerez has cost us the opportunity of buying a decent defence as the money allocated is already gone!

Apparently you can't say that with any certainty on here; we didn't prioritise Ramirez and signing him for as much money as we did, didn't mean by any stretch whatsoever we couldn't bring in other better defenders. Simon Peach said so (except when he clearly didn't, that doesn't count).

Total cr@p. We also had a bid of more than the Ramirez amount accepted by a club for their CB only for them to pull out at the last minute.

Really? More than £12M? For who?
