Danny Blind's first game - would be surprised if he gets the chop quite so soon after taking over.

If they don't make it. He will go you would think. Or if they scrape through and stink the place out in France.

Ronald will be their man next, surely

Let's hope they get there and it clicks

Also, bale scores again and outs Wales 1-0 up.

Pretty tidy finish for a LB! Shades of Big Ron there.

its not Blind's fault if they don't make it, the damage has already been done.

He will get the bullet if they fail to make the 2018 World Cup.

Would be interesting to hear from a few of the Dutch posters on this.

It's really bad, but today was also unlucky. Robben injured early on, unbelievable red card for Martins Indi, and an unnecessary penalty caused by Van der Wiel. Not much Blind could have prevented of that.

What I didn't understand was why he took off Huntelaar and put on Bruma after the red card. There was no one left to score on the field after that.

But yes. They've been horrible overall.

and Schneiderlin only gets the 2nd half as a sub for Cabaye.

What???? Surely managers of national teams don't go on club form. Doesn't the French manager know that Morgan plays for Man Utd, the biggest club in the world, and Cabaye for some (almost) provincial team?

That was the argument before wasn't it? He wants all his players at top teams, and then was still picking Sissoko last season and Cabaye this season :s

Amazing result for N.Ireland, can they really do it??? Shane Long also got one for the ROI tonight.

With Hungary failing to beat Romania we're top of the group and a win on Monday night against Hungary will see us qualify. (Ten years to the day from the night we beat England.) I'm flying back from Southampton on Monday morning for the game - it'll be some night in Belfast if we do it!

good luck mate. As said before. would love it if Northern Ireland and Wales did it.

More so N.Ireland. You dont have a 'Bale' to win you games....

Absolutely. Wales are definitely through - they need to win one of three and still have Andorra at home, plus highly likely that other teams will drop points anyway. On the plane.

Norn Iron looking good too. Would have liked to see the wee man take Scotland through but still comedy value in Scottish failure so can live with it.

Yeah good luck to Northern Ireland, will be very well deserved if you qualify, I've always liked Windsor Park hope the development doesn't change it too much, you create a cracking atmosphere full of passionate proud fans, a world away from the dismal modern Wembley experience full of day trippers sat in silence and the family centre using clappers banging them together. I'll support you lot in France next year.
