Jose charged with misconduct

What's the point of fining him? any fine is to him less than the cost of a postage stamp to other people. The real fine would be to dock a point off the club.

This.

It's depressing to think they could fine him what I earn in a decade, and it probably wouldn't even dent his weekly restaurant bill.

TBH he hasn't really done any harm other than to himself. I can't see Bobby Madley getting any death threats from what Jose said after the game, even from the most hard-core rabid Chelsea fans. Maybe from people who had money on a 5-1 Saints win but that's about it.

All he has really done is make himself look a complete tit.

There do seem to be a few hypocrites on this forum there were loads suggesting bias towards Chelsea from the Ref

Why does that make them hypocrites? Of course there was bias towards Chelsea, illustrated by their two yellows against our five and the denial of two clear-cut penalties that we should have had. Ramires wouldn't even have been on the pitch had the succession of fouls he inflicted been punished and it was nonsensical that he was not yellow-carded earlier.

Following comments he made about the referee after Saturday. Justice done. Let's hope he gets a fine and a touchline ban.

......as if he needed more trouble. Could be an extra nail in the coffin if the club really want him out ....it's bringing the name of the club into disrepute..etc etc.

He knew what was coming his way but he doesn't care. The F.A. cannot hurt him financially, the bloke has more money than he could ever spend, he couldn't give a toss. I really hope he gets a lengthy touchline ban.

Plus if he gets a fine he just skims it off his taxes. Silly ninny probably actually believes that they are victimised in some way. José has let his own publicity go to his head, only someone bordering on Moorgreen candidature would sign Falcao.

Bloke is a total bust since his knee got injured.

Fines are not an allowable tax expense.

The photo the BBC article used was perfect to demonstrate it was a dive - neither gravity nor momentum would make Falcao's legs stick together like that.

Fonte and Stekelenburg didn't deal with the situation very well but make no mistake, Jose; it was the most blatant of dives.

Not even professional fines ? It's a cost of your profession, would certainly be tax deductable in most countries.

I'm afraid not. here is an extreme example: https://www.whitefieldtax.co.uk/web/fines-ever-tax-deductible/

'It is generally accepted by advisers that if the purpose of a penalty or fine is to punish, then no tax relief is available.'

However in José's case he could argue that it is a legitimate part of his business ;)

On the other hand, it seems wrong manager's can't complain to some extent.

They can complain about a decision. He is being charged because he repeatedly (3 times at least) stated that referees were biased against Chelsea, not because he said the penalty decision was wrong. He is accusing referees and thus the FA of cheating, having a vendetta against his team.

Thought Steklenburg dealt with the situation very well, as soon as he realised that Falcao was going quicker than he thought and then had pushed the ball wide, while still sliding on his side he knew the tart was going to drag a leg and hit the deck so he pulled everything he could that might make contact out of the way.............. Cheat exposed.

That is to help him tell his left from his right ;)

Needs something similar for his arse and his elbow and if you could show him a barn door that might improve his form.

Hope they hit Jose with a 3 game touchline/stadium ban it's not like it is his first offence, still love his response when the interviewer asked him about our penalties that weren't given, Muppet!

I thought he was slow off his line and Fonte expected him to be there too; he relied on that happening too much and committed himself to shielding the ball so Stekelenburg could pick it up but that left him flat-footed when Falcao ran past.

You're right, he pulled his arms out the way but that wasn't enough - Stekelenburg's torso had already landed where the ball was. If Falcao continued running after he touched the ball past the keeper it was unlikely he'd score directly from such an acute angle but he had the right to continue on his path and take the contact (i.e., fall over when hit), resulting in a penalty.

It's one of those situations in football where, just because the outcome was positive, it doesn't mean the way it was achieved was correct. We were lucky Falcao made a poor decision and flopped into the keeper.

However, based on the ref's performance, Falcao could have done everything 'right' and the ref might have waved it away or booked him anyway.

It saddens me to see what was once the world's greatest striker unable to perform. Falcao should be one of those world class talents that it's a pleasure to watch every week in the Premier League like Aguero, Silva, Sanchez, etc.
