Watching his interviews, I often forget he's just turned 21.

Wish we had signed him 12 months ago - think he would have looked even better playing with better players and in a more positive system.

Thought this bit was interesting, shows the club understands the true importance of our CAM in the 41212. Yet we technically only have 1 actual player completely ready for this position and he's technically a winger.

It was the best thing he did. He was pretty poor when he came on - I thought Clasie's extra experience and tenacity would've been a better bet.

Can't make my mind up about Hojbjerg. Bags of enthusiasm, a few touches of class, but he really hasn't found a consistent level of play - some days, he's rank awful.

And he's comically inept in front of goal.

Was nervous when PEH came on last night, would have gone for Clasie if I were manager but, as others have said, what a run to clear the path for Sims. We'll have a player on our hands when he gets a run of games and finds some consistency.

Thanks, it just shows that you get tunnel vision when excited. That doesn't happen to me very often these days

I think I need some help understanding PEH. He doesn't score goals (at least not yet) he doesn't seem to specialise in passing, breaking up play or winning the ball in the air. He doesn't create chances but he doesn't seem to be picked with defensive duties in mind either.

I don't dislike him at all, he seems a good guy and willing to put in a shift - I just don't get what he's for! Anyone?

I've only just about forgiven Hojberg for the Beer Sheva game where he moved away from a ball passed to him, allowing the interception, shot and goal.

He gave the ball away last night that led to Coutinhos shot just wide - had that gone in and we gone out, I don't think i'd have had it in me to forgive him at all.

There is definite potential for a quality player there, but a lot of work to be done. We were all wondering why he wasn't starting earlier in the season...looks like Puel was right. Again.

I have been very critical of him, but at the same time I have seen some glimpses of a really agile, dynamic powerhouse midfielder (Everton at home particularly, when he kept turning in and out of players, also at Prague at home). But as mentioned above, sometimes he is painfully bad (Inter at home, one of the worst performances i've seen for years, felt bad for him). But I can't bemoan his work rate so hopefully the quality will come as he gets more game time.

One of the first things I noticed about him was his vision and range of passing, to be honest. He reminded me of Romeu, where he'll try and thread a deft pass through the middle, rather than just going sideways. Also looked composed on the ball, again like Romeu and (in my opinion) JWP, who rarely looks troubled on the ball if he's under pressure. I honestly thought he was a cut above what we already had in that position, and also made the link between Schneiderlin and him.

He went a bit wobbly recently, and he's one of those players who you just know is capable of more, but needs time.

It's easy to forget how young he is too - 21. Younger than Redmond, JWP, Stephens and McQueen. I think he comes across much more mature and looks like he's got more experience under his belt than you'd think for someone so young, which is possibly why it's easy to forget just how young he is.

He's 21. Playing in central midfield. In the most physically demanding league in the world.

Next year he, JWP and Romeu will boss this league.

That is a big call and I sincerely hope it proves to be correct!

His passing accuracy that night must've been about 20%

Funnily enough when he first played for us, I think it was the Watford game, his passing and the fact that he NEVER gave it away was what stood out for me and the reason I thought we had an absolutely class player on our hands. Hopefully he will rediscover a bit of form soon, and as others have said, he is still very young.

He's still so young and has so much potential. Worth remembering that everyone was going mad before the game over Stephens being inexperienced, and he's older than PEH!

Inconsistency is his problem, which is understandable and partly down to him being (I expect) the most rotated player in our squad. He's shown his frustration at being subbed off before.
