No Isgrove either. Is he injured? Not making the first team squad and not in the PL2 squad either. Just seems odd. Not making a case for him, just surprised that we still have him but he doesn't seem to be getting match time.

Definitely an odd omission. Unless he's pencilled in for the squad vs West Ham, which would be even odder.

Saints been very much on the back foot thus so far in this one, with Spurs mounting on the pressure and making it hard for Saints to get out of their half. However, for all the pressure Saints have defended well and had a couple chances to get Spurs on the counter.

whilst he hasn't played for the first team this season, I noted (with surprise) that he was on the bench for the Swansea game.

He's had a couple of outings for the U23 side, and usually DAJFU....so maybe Puel wants him in the first team set-up.(?)

He must be the eldest amongst the former Academy graduates and has two good loan-out seasons in L1, and picked up 3 trophies whilst doing so.

Lloyd also won a cap for Wales.... a while back, but is unlikley to make their current squad based on their recent excellent international form in Euro's.

Saints win 1-0 :D

I read the report on the game (on a Spurs site), and whilst it was a fairly unbiased reporting of the facts, the three photos they attached showed their players in tussles with Saints players who " appeared" to be to holding/pushing their players.

Pity they couldn't have been similarly unbaised with photos of some of their fouls on Saints players ...one or two which verged on brutality.

The Spurs sending-off was the player's second yellow, although he was lucky to still be on the field by HT. when he fouled again soon after his first yellow.

Not sure about the circumstances of Harley Willard's red. He got booked early on, but his second yellow seemed to be some "afters" following the Spurs player's dismissal.

We couldn't see as he was "off-screen" but maybe the ref. felt obliged to even up the sides, as he also booked several other players after the original "handbags "incident.

A poor ending to a spirited match, and I was pleased to see us beat a Spurs side ....even if it was U23's.

In fairness, Spurs bossed this game for large portions of the game but as the (new) big boss says the only thing that mattress is the win. We only win 1-0 ! Are we top now or did bloody Everton win again? Why must it be bloody Everton with that rat Koeman in charge with his reknowned lack of interest in youth team players? You couldn't make it up.

Do you think Arsenal will be coming back on for Olomola if he keeps banging them in as he is? Why did they let him go in the first place and why is it only us who can get these kids firing on all cylinders?

These I know are rhetorical questions but let's hope that when we sign on promising kids that other clubs have rejected that there aren't any hidden "grab-back" clauses in the small print that might mean that we have no claim on them when they become the polished article.
