Thread: Would YOU live in

  1. Default Would YOU live in

    1. a house where someone had been murdered?

    2. What would you do if you moved into a house and found out a few months
or maybe even years after the fact that someone who'd lived there before you
had been murdered in the house?

Assuming the price would be right then yes. Whatever happened in there isn't going to happen to me. That said, if the house had a history of murders then I would have to think twice about it. Perhaps someone has a grudge on whoever lives there.

If I had moved into the house before finding out about it, I would murder the estate agent, and cover up and traces of news items about it. While it wouldn't be a disturbance to me personally, I would want to be able to sell it when the time comes!

No problem for me. I would view it as a bonus.

I'd get the ouija board out straight away

I am sure plenty of us live in houses with dark past, at very least a death (even natural causes) wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

Going back a couple of years, my mate and I were sub contracting to British Gas, doing installs in Poole for the council.

We were doing a new boiler in what is called a void (an unocupied house). the diffrence being this house was still furnished, carpeted and possessions all over the place.

It transpired that about two months earlier the two sons had murdered their farther in the lounge. We were told that he was an alcoholic and had abused the boys, they in turn had turned to drink and drugs and had finally lost it and killed him.

The worst part was going in the loft and seeing kids toys stored there, knowing that two innocent lives had been ruined and one life lost.

To answer the question I could live in a house where a murder had taken place, but the house would have to be emptied od all the deceased's possesions first. Having said that I dont think I could live in a house that had been the scene of mass murder, like the Wests house.

Apparently the guy that lived their for about 10 years in the 90s was killed in 911.

RE: Murder houses, yes, but I'd rather not know about it.

I don't even understand the reason for the question - what difference does it make?

Hi Pingpong my reason was to try and provoke a discussion on a subject that perhaps was a
bit different than usual and also one that couldn't be turned into a Lowe in/out thread
Also it is sometimes a bit slow on here and I hoped this might encourage people who do not
post very much to join in

There's that sheltered lifestyle again. I've never seen The Amityville Horror all the way through, as I thought it crap, but I still know of this house.

Still unfamiliar with 2001 - A Space Odyssey..? The butler did it.
