Sneaky sods :D

Old police speed radars are being used to fool speeding motorists using radar detectors into slowing down.

The radars, renamed drones and each worth NZ$150, emit a beam which activates the radar detectors in cars,

fooling motorists into thinking they are entering a monitored speed zone and slowing them down.

Alternatively people could simply be like me and abide by the law.

This is a strange one actually as it is a revenue generator, so i wonder what the real motive could possibly be?

Not possibly to reduce peoples speed (after all they just sit there at no cost, and you can't go faster than the car in front of you...) in accident blackspots, do you think?
