Microsoft X10 Event

A lot of you wont give a **** but today is Microsofts X10 Event in San Francisco.

Has not been one since 2006 and seems like they got some news of their own to share. (Nintendo have just announced they will be having their own event too at the end of the month).

Basically it is an event where they show off some games coming out and technology.

We already know a bit about it from varios press releases such as Natal will be shown. Fable 3 will be shown, although aparently Peter Molyneux says we will be ****ed off by his announcement, so that should be interesting.

Bungie will be there to show off the new Halo Reach game and various other stuff.

Rumour around the campfire is a few games will be announced too.

Which makes you wonder why they brought the show back. Because E3 is 6 months away. So either they have too much secret stuff going on and need to clear a bit of it which is likely. Or they want to announce something that will be coming before then, who knows.

Major Nelson (famous blogger) has said

"..expect some cool news to come out of it"

At the venue for our X10 event. A LOT of cool stuff to talk about starting tomorrow. Hint: SCDR2F3HRLP2

Ok..a couple of more new clues: GRPDAWTS. That's all for now"

So goodluck decoding that then.....

i think the F3 in the first one has to be Fable 3

edit:

First hint: SCDR2F3HRLP2

Splinter Cell, Dead Rising 2, Fable 3, Halo Reach, Lost Planet 2

Second hint: GRPDAWTS

Ghost Recon, Perfect Dark, Alan Wake, (don't know what TS means, timesplitters perhaps

New Timesplitters would be awesome. This will be the first time Natal is shown to the public right? Im a bit skeptical at the moment, the hype behind it is almost unbelieveable with Microsoft and their associated software developers constantly saying it will 'revolutionise' gaming ....... I will believe it when i see it.

Yeah in theory it will be the first time it has been shown from boot up to playing.

I am curious to know what they are going to do with it or what game they will show.

There was a leaked video a few months back of someone playing a first person shooter (Half Life 2) with it. If it can really do that then wow. If not then could be just a gimmick i.e eye toy etc.

In the past they have used the event to announce big games such as Halo etc..

I would not be surprised to see Gears 3 or something similar announced.

Maybe even a blu ray drive ;)

Will try and keep things updated as info confirmed or leaked ;)

Capcom to announce 3 new games

Tech Romancer

Project Justice

Cannon Spike

And Midway to announce 2 new games

Hydro Thunder

RUSH 2049

Wonder if Hydro Thunder is anything to do with those old MegaDrive helicopter games?

EDIT: Nope it is a popular racing game apparently...

Remedy are opening the show apparently with something "mind blowing". So that will be the new footgae for Alan Wake, can't wait for that.

EA say that 2m people downloaded Battlefield Bad Company 2 demo in just 5 days making it almost the most downloaded demo of all time (guess halo was 1st?).

CliffyB from Epic is in da house and expected to say something. Maybe this is the new game he mentioned he was working on? Or Gears 3.
