Pretending you like a gift

An auntie and uncle have just come round and presented me with a bottle of Blue Nun.

Quite a few years ago my nan gave me a £1 torch from Veals for my 18th birthday. Bless her soul

You can't be that high on the expenditure list then!

When I was 15 or 16 an auntie bought me a sweatshirt with Amazon Adventurer written on it in big plasticky letters. That said the most boring present has to be a razor gift set.

My wife's aunt always used to give me sugared almonds for Christmas and I, of course, feigned delight. Many years later my son came back from holiday and presented me with a box of them because he thought really liked them. Sometimes you have to suffer to be nice.

Better then a kick in the balls Dune , use it as a mixer.

I'll use it for cooking.

My Nan, rip, used to send us Easter Eggs and Advent Calendars, the eggs would be smashed to bits when they arrived and the chocs in the advent calendar had all dropped to the bottom! Damn you Isle of Wight post!!!

Didn't Blue Nun undergo a cultural make-over and at least move out of the 'naff' category. This in line with the increasing popularity of Riesling in general. Personally speaking, I enjoy Riesling much more than Chardonnay, so I feel Blue Nun's honour should be defended!
