Depends which one and what you want to use it for. As baj says - no CD can be a pain if you buy software, although you can get around it by creating iso files of CD's. If its just for internet/email etc then they are great. If you want to be able to run XP with memory intensive apps then steer clear. If you do decide to get one just for internet and email then go for one with Linux installed - cheaper and faster, although might add a learning experience for you if you want to add stuff. The eePC OS Linpus gets ok reviews and you can always install ubuntu or something on instead - saves a few quid.
