It's a good idea, how often do you get points added to your points?? say every day and you start with 3 points, that will become 6 without doing anything and 9 in 2 days but if you are scoring 30/40 points a day you could reach a million in just a few months, by the end of the year you could have as many points as there are tea leaves in china and a year later the amount of grains of sand and then the ultimate, as many points as stars in the solar system.

Do you have to be a full member or a registered user?

Are there different points available for abusing different levels of membership?

Could we have attacking points and defending points, or only the attacker scoring, like in Real Tennis, and the attack then switching to the opponent.

I think if someone is being attacked but turns it round within 4 posts to being the attacker they should be awarded extra points, if anyone is pwned a maximum of 20 points to the owner, points deducted if owned, a vote will be carried out by users to determine whether someone has been owned.

And yet still the american audience would start to get bored because the score wasn't going up fast enough...

Perhaps we can take some pointers from american sports? Divide every point-scoring thread up into quarters, or even eighths? Introduce cheer-leaders? Bring in one of the organs they use in ice-hockey? Maybe Alpine could play a little tune every time someone scores?
