Internet radio

Has anyone got one of those internet streaming radios? Was looking at getting a new DAB, but saw one of these pretty cheap, and wondered if it was worth a closer look?

One question that comes to mind, can you listen to the football on them? I know there are a lot of restrictions on what can be broadcast over the internet, so I'm thinking I probably wouldn't be able to get matches on Solent/Radio Hampshire?

Almost started an identical thread yesterday. From what I can tell, no you can't simply hook it into solent / radio hampshire unless they already offer their service as an internet radio station. However, there may well be ways around that if you've got the time and skills.

What model were you look at? I had seen this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/134633 .

Tho i was disappointed it doesnt include an FM/AM radio!

I'd seen this one:

Says it's out of stock there, but they had them in store in Southsea. It's £106 on Amazon, and from the limited research I've done it was launched at around £130, so £68 would seem a good price.

I think I'm going to go for a Pure One Mini DAB though, and just connect my iPod Touch to it. Just wish they didn't sting you for £20 for a battery though.....

I've got this; http://www.slimdevices.com/pi_duet.html

Great piece of kit and looks nice too with the screen on the remote control. Use it to stream music from my storage drive, plus also for internet radio - connected via optical to my Bose system. Sounds fantastic and is really easy to use.

well my vistron arrived today and I must say that its brilliant. Took me 5 mins to set up, 4 mins of that was entering my wifi key, its dead easy to browse, all the channels i thought i would need to add custom are already there.

Havent tried out media sharing yet, but Im guessing that will work fine.
