Cowes Week

Anyone comming over to the island for it?

if you havent been over before its a good day/night out

I'm going on Friday, can't beat sitting in the sun, by the water with a few beers. Has been a great day out the past couple of years.

Being a Vectonian by birth, I remember the good days of my youth, down on Cowes seafront, to watch the fireworks, spending my pocket money on glitter balls on elastic, and whistleing birds. So I agree, if you can get over there, it's a good night out.

Me too, I remember spending vast amounts of money on glow in the dark necklaces and bracelets!

Got a corporate shindig thing over there tomorrow with work and hoping to get back over there on Friday. I love the IOW.

Fireworks on Friday night.

Went over on Sunday to see my daughter singing in a band. Had a good day - until it started to **** down.

I wish .... its with our bank but the people I'm going with are a good laugh so should be fun.

Going down to Lepe beach on Friday night with a BBQ & a few beers, should be good if the weather is ok.

I went over last night for our works do (Skandia) and it is always a good night. Beer (was free last night), music, and (if you can be bothered) sailing!

My brother works for Skandia and he went Tuesday night also.

was abit dissapointed with the fireworks last night, but the Red Arrows where class, dont see things like that too often while having a nice bbq on the beach and a couple of drinks will upload some pics later if i can be bothered

They flew over my house in formation last night, fantatic sight.

They flew over my house in sunny Stubbington as well. I agree. A fantastic sight.

I thought it was a bit extravagant for them to do a fly-by just because I was washing the car.

Didn't do any sailing at all and missed the entire week. Think I'm losing my touch.

I must have been a bit ****ed because all of the photos I took of the Arrows just have the smoke trails in them ....

First time I have been to Cowes for the Friday fireworks and thought it was really good.

I went on the round the island boat race a few years ago, t'was very good.

Want to do it again, but time and money are of a premium at the moment!
