• Two return from injury

After a dreadful week, the news that both Gaston Ramirez and Jack Cork are ready to return to first team action is a welcome boost.

Fleet of foot, Ramirez returns to the first team.

As we continue to recover from the aftermath of the tuesday night farce at Elland Road, Nigel Adkins has provided us with some good news at our pre-match weekend news conference.

Jack Cork has not featured for Saints this season after suffering an injury pre-season. The return of one of our key performers from last year will provide a welcome extra body in the centre of midfield. While the emergence of James Ward-Prowse as a further option in the middle has given us hope this year, Jack's experience in the middle can only be of benefit to our cause.

Of even more importance is Nigel Adkins' confirmation that our 12 million pound Uruguayan Gaston Ramirez is back from his freak dead leg and leg inflammation. Ramirez was a sensation against Aston Villa, his link up play with Lallana and Lambert causing the Villains a headache all game. His ability on the ball will provide us with an invaluable attacking option as we head into a tricky away game at West Bromwich Albion on Monday night.

Our only first team injury concern is for right back Frazer Richardson, in his absence Nathaniel Clyne and Danny Fox are widely expected to continue at right and left back respectively.

Think we may see Cork play his fair share of games at right back this season. Clyne has shown he can deliver the goods down the left. Spiderman and Davis look good in CM and I wouldn't switch either for Cork as a starter.

We need to find positives from wherever we can. Also the time could be perfect for the new month.
