• INJURY NEWS: Victor Wanyama out for up to 5 weeks

A hamstring strain is set to sideline Victor Wanyama for 4-5 weeks, says Saints boss Ronald Koeman.

The Kenyan midfielder pulled up off-the-ball, just 12 seconds before half-time, forcing Koeman to send on Steven Davis for the second half of Saints' FA Cup tie at Portman Road, which saw them beat Ipswich Town 1-0.

Saints are now without both Victor Wanyama (hamstring) and Morgan Schneiderlin (adductor), both due to injury.

Toby Alderweireld (hamstring) remains sidelined, as do both Sam Gallagher (knee) and Jay Rodriguez (knee).

I always wondered why a man who made his name playing the long ball system was left in charge of a team that is supposed to play with passing football.
