    Saints were sent packing from the Etihad Stadium with zero points, as City ran out comfortable winners.

    Kevin De Bruyne slotted home from a Raheem Sterling cross inside the opening 10 minutes, before Fabian Delph's deflected effort doubled the advantage.

    Shane Long nodded past Willy Caballero to give the travelling support a glimmer of hope, but Aleksandar Kolarov killed off the game when he slammed the ball home from a tight angle in the 69th minute.
