• OFFICIAL: Sadio ManÚ leaves Saints to join Liverpool

Saints have received a club-record fee for the Senegalese forward.

Sadio ManÚ has signed for Liverpool after two seasons at St. Mary's.

ManÚ, 24, joined Southampton from Red Bull Salzburg in 2014 for a fee of ú11.8m.

After scoring 25 goals in 75 appearances for Saints, he prompted Reds boss JŘrgen Klopp to stump up and make the Senegalese attacker the Anfield club's all-time record transfer. It is also the highest fee ever paid for an African footballer.

ManÚ leaves Saints with fond memories, none fonder than his hat-trick against Aston Villa which was completed within just 176 seconds.
